
CCS AUDAX
For 2023 Cycle Club Sudbury are organising Audax rides on three dates. Club riders also take part in many of the other audax rides in East Anglia.
Taking place on Saturday 15 April 2023, from Dedham Primary School, organised by Ian Lovelock;
‘Grand Tour de Stour 200k;
Out to Harwich and back, and then westwards towards the source and return.
‘Tour de Stour’ 100k;
A route, on some superb lanes, upstream towards the source of the Stour and then downstream back to Dedham.
Taking place on Saturday, 22 July 2023, from the Sportsfield Pavilion, Bildeston, organised by Andy Rogers;
‘Suffolk Lanes Extravaganza, 209k ; that says it all, really!
There are few hills on the route, which mainly uses country lanes with short stretches of minor A and B-road, to Halesworth and then on to the coast at Orford.
‘100 Miles of Suffolk Lanes’, 168k; through central Suffolk to the coast and back, mainly on quiet lanes.
‘Bildeston Lanes’ 103k; The route is broadly circular through quiet and attractive Suffolk countryside. It uses many of the best country lanes in this part of Suffolk, with very short stretches of minor A-road.
50k; A shorter route using local lanes, sharing a cafe stop with the 103k audax.
Taking place in 2023, on a date in August/September to be confirmed, from Wormingford Village Hall, organised by Ian Lovelock.
